{Position Overview}
- Establishing close relationships to 3rd Party’s manager who are in charge for strategic customers and/or are having decision power of commercial conditions
- Initiating, executing and closing commercial terms negotiations
- Taking responsibility in maximizing profitability of targeted products
- Identifying synergies and implementing win-win situations in ongoing discussions / negotiations
- Supporting supply chain problem solving
- Negotiating special conditions for special circumstances (e.g. Tender pricing / supply)
- Proposing supply chain modifications in case of 3rd Party performance concerns
- Reporting achievements on a periodic basis
- Representing the organization to establish company as 3rd Party’s preferred partner
{Responsibilities}
- Relationship management and commercial terms negotiations
~ Building relationships: proactively approaching 3rd Party suppliers and establishing trustworthy and sustainable relationships
~ Negotiating commercial terms: Based on a pre-defined target list, approaching 3rd Parties and negotiating commercial terms with the goal to reduce sustainably sourcing costs of Product
~ Re-negotiation Agreements: Initiating, negotiating and concluding agreement extensions based on a self-supported agreement expiry list
~ Supporting special sales activities: Discussing and negotiating with 3rd Party suppliers to best support company’s sales team to launch product, launch marketing activities and / or participate in tenders
~ Recommending improvement projects: Based on experience and negotiation outcome, recommending to supervisors and other stakeholders to initiate site transfers or other improvement projects which would allow substantial and sustainable savings
- Supporting activities to supply chain
~ Helping planners and supply chain individuals in overcoming delivery delays or any other supply related difficulties
~ Exchanging information with Business Development managers and raw material sourcing specialist to support global know-how of products and suppliers
~ Participate in targeting products for re-negotiations, track results and provide periodic update on cost saving initiatives and results.
~ Establishing and updating lists to keep track of activities or other information
{Requirements}
- Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry including minimum 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical products manufacturing
- Thorough knowledge in regulations around pharmaceutical production
- Strong skills in establishing relationship and leading concluding successful negotiations
- Self-driven and independent personality with openness to traveling
- Full professional proficiency in English (verbal and in writing)
