A global leading foreign chemical company is seeking an ‘Application Engineer’ as follow;<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

* Location: Chungbook (Jincheon)
[RESPONSIBILITIES]
- Support the growth of the Electronics Industry in Korea and potential other countries in Asia, more specifically the support of innovative front-end applications for the Consumer, Computer and Communication Major Market where application development and application engineering activities are involved
- Involve in hands-on lab work, reporting in CRM, literature search and presentations to internal/external customers, internal and external technical publications
- Troubleshooting is another important task related to potential reliability and quality problems at customers
- Will work on customer applications in fields like Wafer Level Packaging (WLP) and Device Packaging using different application methods like spin coating, stencil/screen printing, roll printing, spraying, molding, dispensing for the semiconductor market
- The job responsibility includes the successful integration of these materials in the different customer applications
- Generates data to be able to share the generated know-how with our customers globally by providing the proper technical sales tools and training to other AE colleagues
- Require ability to develop of partnerships like with research institutions, film manufactures, ink suppliers and equipment vendors
- Involved in the application aspect of new products and responsible to work with the customer and other partner suppliers to assure the product is meeting the needs of the customer and the application
- Special Application Development (AD) or Application Engineering (AE) projects could be assigned
- Interact with other functions like product development, sales and marketing colleagues to share and acquire knowledge
[QUALIFICATIONS]
- MsC(PhD) in material science, (micro) electronics and/or chemical engineering
- Wafer Level Packaging (WLP) and Device Packaging application experience
- Willing to work in the lab and has an analytical mind (troubleshooting)
- Excellent organization skills
- Work efficiency and documentation - is able to manage several projects at the same time - has good skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Knowledge of Design of Experiments is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Creative and excellent team player
- Proactive and shows initiative
- Excellent Korean and English language skills (written, read and spoken); any other language is an asset
