A global famous company is seeking a ‘Project Manager (Power Plant)’ as follow;
* Job Title : Project Manager (Power Plant)
* Position: Director or Bujang
* Location: Seoul
[RESPONSIBILITIES]
- Manage various Power projects starting with MWP (Medical Waste to Power), from the Feasibility Study review, Permits & Licenses submission, to the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), including commissioning, according to HSE standards, within the budget, schedule and quality requirements
- Be in charge of supervising the Consultant(s) and contractor(s) during the execution of the project
- Feasibility Study (FS) Review (Review the FS report/ Modify whenever necessary / Issue internal memo_
- Permit & Licenses: Review/Obtain all the Permits and Licenses required to start the Construction and Operation of the Plant (Power / Air Emission / Development Permit / EIA / Integrated Energy Business / Road Excavation (Steam Pipe) / Construction etc..)
- Check potential NIMBY
- Select Consultants and Engineering
- Project Management (Review the specifications for the major packages / Prepare RFQ packages and Tender documents / Make sure that O&M requirements are included in the Design stage / Conduct Life Cycle Cost calculation and optimization / Select Engineering Companies / Review timely all major third party engineering design / Review the contracts with consultants, EPC, vendors and etc. / Assist Procurement on matters of performance guarantee, maintenance, warranty, etc./Make sure there is no overlap or missing parts in the scope of work of each contractor/vendor / Supervise EPC, consultant, vendors, etc.)
- Responsible for the project progress and schedule
- Direct change management and contract variation control, identify and confirm variations, and submit detailed change valuations
- Co-ordinate site activities with the Construction Manager for completion erection and commissioning on time. Resolving site discrepancy reports with Engineering.
- Make sure that project documentation is in accordance with contractual requirements and internal document control procedures
- Supervise the T&C to make sure the performance is achieved for each and every package
- Report to the Director in any change, delay, additional cost in the Project
- Liaise with the Legal Department for all contractual matters.
[QUALIFICATIONS]
- Extensive experience in small to medium size industrial Power plants, using solid fuel such as Medical Waste or SRF
- Be conversant with design, engineering and construction of SRF and/or Medical Waste boiler and turbine works
- Good knowledge of engineering, project planning, procurement, commissioning for Boiler Turbine Generator Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and C&I in medium size Power projects
- Experience in developing basic Engineering and feasibility studies, preparation of minimum technical specifications, tender document for EPC. Review of EPC contractor submission
- Possess good oral and written English skills to function effectively within an international project team
- Periodic interaction with client/consultant/EPC/vendors Project Managers is required for ensuring smooth execution of the project so open and effective communication skills are expected
- Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years in a similar position and/or Power Plant project experience
- Engineering, Procurement, Construction and operation background will be considered for this role.
