One of foreign environment company is seeking ‘Project Engineer’ as follow; 

Position: Project Engineer

Title:  Gwajang ~ Chajang

Location: Seoul

 

[Job Specification]

1. Process

 1) Process Design

  - Basic knowledge of water, wastewater and sewer treatment process

  - Able to understand and make PFD and process mass balance

  - Able to understand process descriptions made by other process owners and apply it to process combination

  - Able to understand process capacity calculations made by other process owners

 2) Basic Engineering

  - Able to understand and make P&ID with standard notation and symbols (Equipment and piping symbols)

  - Able to understand control concept through the ISO symbols in R&ID

  - Able to make equipment arrangement based on process line and consideration of hydraulic calculation

 3) Detail Engineering

  - Able to select proper type of equipment (Pumps, screens, agitators, valves and so on)

  - Able to understand general Standards and Codes (KS, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, DIN and so on)

  - Able to understand basic functions and mechanisms of instruments and selection of proper instruments

  - Able to understand basic system configuration with various automation systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA etc.)

 

2. Proposal

 1) Cost Estimation

  - Able to prepare RFQ to vendors and to evaluate quotations from vendors

  - Able to estimate overall cost as per the cost estimation structure issued by PPS

 2) Tender Documents

  - Able to understand requirements of ITB from customers and to make a proposal package as per the ITB

 

3. Project Management

 1) Cost

  - Able to make cost breakdown and to prepare project budgets considering all required project cost and site expense

  - Able to track cost variation using cost tracking tools made of excel and to update it regular basis

 2) Schedule

  - Able to make work breakdown structure and to make schedule with MS project or smart sheets

  - Able to find critical path and update work schedule accordingly

 3) Quality

  - Able to conduct inspection in manufacturer’s factory independently in overseas as well as in Korea

  - Able to understand requirements of ISO and IMS and to follow the procedures under supervision of company HSEQ team

 4) Safety

  - Able to check KOSHA guide and to apply the guidance to site under supervision of company HSEQ team

 5) Communication

  - Able to communicate with Clients and Vendors in reasonable manner

  - Must be transparent to superior for reporting

  - Able to understand instructions from superior and to follow the instructions 

  - Able to communicate in English

 

4. Commissioning

 1) Site Commissioning and Test Run

  - Able to understand process O&M manual and control philosophy and to conduct the process commissioning

  - Able to operate and maintain the unit equipment according to the O&M manual (Power on/off, lubrication, seal replacement and so on…)

  - Able to calibrate and diagnose the instruments according to the O&M manual and to coordinate with suppliers for maintenance

  - Able to prepare the commissioning report with each test report

 

[Qualifications]

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering

- More than 15 years of experience in Water & Wastewater process

- Good communication skills with English, transparency in problem reporting

- Enough Knowledge to understand and learn new technologies

- strong intention to work with flexibility for various circumstances of site

- Korean (native), English (Must fluent, writing & speaking)

- Engineer of Water Pollution Environmental Licenses
