A global leading foreign chemical company is seeking a ‘Application Engineer for Power Electronics' as follow;
* Job Title: Application Engineer for Power Electronics (반도체 웨이퍼 제조공정/개발 기술자, 전력소자 응용 기술 경험자)
* Position: Kwajang ~ Chajang
* Gender:  Male or Female
* Experience: 3 ~ 10 years experience after University (BS or MS or Ph - 반도체공학, 전자공학, 화학관련)
* Education Required: Masters Degree Preferred
* Location:  Chungbuk (Jincheon)

 

[RESPONSIBILITIES]
- Work with customers and internal teams to establish specifications of wafer and epitaxy products.
- Assess and communicate company technical capabilities and relevant customers' needs.
- Assess device performance and correlate to material metrics to identify key material quality parameters in compound semiconductor.
- Act as the technical link between company and customers for compound semiconductor wafers and epitaxy products and R&D programs.
- Support key customer / prospect relationships in order to understand and translate unmet needs to potential products / solutions.

* Effective communication skills are necessary for working with the external customers, and to translate the market needs into product specifications and concepts

 

[QUALIFICATIONS]
- BS or Masters or Ph. D in Material Science, Inorganic Chemistry, Semiconductor Engineering preferred. Or, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience as a process engineer or R&D engineer in compound semiconductor fabrication, power electronics module, epitaxy process.
- Strong knowledge of solid state physics and materials engineering.
- Specific knowledge of material growth, characterization or discreet electronic device fabrication is desirable.
- Good interpersonal with written and verbal communications skills.
- Has a strong desire and ability to learn by seeking new information, knowledge, and experiences and practically apply that.
- Proactive, energetic and enjoys meeting with customers.
- Ability to effectively work across multiple functions and cultures.
- Can work autonomously with a high degree of self organization.

* 반도체칩을 만드는 공정 (fabrication)을 처음부터 알아야 함.  전력 반도체.  전자 제품이 아니라 전력 장치에 들어가는 power electronics. 
* 1) Compound semiconductor fabrication,  2) Power electronics module, 3) Epitaxy process,  4) SiC (Siliconcarbide)합성 응용,  5) IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor)기술 
* Fairchild, 삼성반도체, LG Innotek, Hynix 반도체, ASE, KEC, Optowafer Tech, Matrix 반도체 출신 선호
* 다른 application engineer role보다 더 proactive하고 energetic해야함. 
* 고객을 만나고 리드하고 기술/제품을 적극적으로 설명하고 가르쳐 주고 해야하기 때문에 기술적으로 많이 알아야 함.

* Semiconductor device testers for MOSFETs and Diodes ? Power Electronics (preferred in this experience) or CMOS
  - MOSFET : Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transister(금속산화막반도체 전계효과 트랜지스터),
  - CMOS(시모스) : Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (상보성 금속산화막 반도체)
* Semiconductor fabrication engineers ? epitaxy or oxidation process in CMOS
* Device designers MOSFETS and diodes
