[RESPONSIBILITIES] 

- Responsible for providing legal advice on the affiliate level and will provide legal help for all departments involved (commercial, marketing, purchasing, operations, finance) and work with external counsels. 

- Being a proactive business partner that will protect the interests of all divisions and corporate matters

- Protecting brand equity and our international trademarks

- Ensuring the optimization of structures and internal control, as well as creating awareness of important topics and ensuring compliance with Group policies

- Preparing a business risk analysis

- Providing legal consultations, analysis and advice to help with legal cases to all departments involved (commercial, marketing, purchasing, operations, finance) in relation to the business of the company

- Advising operational and functional departments in all fields of Business Law

- Providing reporting of legal documents and litigations

- Negotiating and drafting all types of legal documents: commercial, marketing, property, information system, distribution, services, cooperation, and purchasing contracts

- Developing in-house documentation of the company

- Updating existing corporate documents

- Representing legal correspondence to our local and international clients

- Collaboration with external counsels

- Advising on compliance related matters for the business in Korea

- Developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, procedures and controls

- Ensuring adherence by local employees to compliance policies

- Preparation of compliance reports for senior management and other interested bodies

- Providing advice to business on compliance and policy issues

- Coordinate with the business and other divisions across the firm on new initiatives

[QUALIFICATIONS]

- At least 6 years of legal experience – in-house and legal counsel experience is key

- Educational legal background 

- Ability to influence key stakeholders and manage relationships 

- Self-motivated, with a professional approach and excellent communication and interpersonal skills  

- Fluent English & Korean
