[RESPONSIBILITIES]
- Research prospective Transportation and Automotive customers in Korea.
- Work with Marketing to identify Transportation and Automotive related selling and promotional events.
- Coordinate communication between the different countries within the APAC region - regarding account or prospect overlap, key opportunities, key wins, key losses
- Prospect and lead account meetings/visits, and identify business opportunities for global Transportation and Automotive laboratory network.
- Promote Transportation and Automotive brand in Korea, at both original equipment manufacturer and supplier levels - and at industry related events.
- Obtain quote requests and detailed supporting information in order to effectively quote opportunities related to Transportation and Automotive services.
- Present quotations to existing and prospective accounts.
- Secure and win new business from existing and prospective accounts.
- Assist with Transportation and Automotive marketing materials development and revisions.
- Recommend operational expansions, capital expenditures and improvements based on market intelligence.
[QUALIFICATIONS]
- Full time focus on Transportation and Automotive market.
- Fluent in Korean and English.
- Understanding of Korean business culture.
- Understanding of automotive industry - 5 years of relevant experience (sales, testing, engineering, quality or program management).
- Understanding of automotive component validation processes.
- Demonstrated business development aptitude and enthusiasm.
- Ability to present in front of technical audience.
- Ability to develop business professional materials (quotes, letters, emails, presentations, etc.).
- Ability to sell technical concepts.
- Ability to secure business, win projects. Ask for purchase orders.
- Ability to meet defined sales goals.
- Ability to assess market and customer needs, through observation and professional inquiry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Intertek management and customers alike.
- Demonstrates a passion for the automotive industry.
- Ability to comprehend and understand standards, testing methods and test equipment.
- Ability and desire to travel to customer sites.
- Ability to develop relationships with existing and prospective customer contacts.
