Position Description:
• Specify and design electrical assemblies to support electro-optical inspection of LCD panels
• Design electrical sub-systems to provide driving signals to LCD panels under test as well as
system inspection payloads
• Design and debug of boards containing low level software development and debugging of embedded devices (e.g. FPGA’s)
• Incorporation of integrated self-testing hardware and firmware at the board level to provide self-diagnosis of failures to aid in system and component level troubleshooting
• Failure analysis of existing electrical assemblies and boards
• Participate and lead various DFM and DFX programs to improve overall electrical sub-system and full system reliability and manufacturability
Desired Qualifications : (additional)
• Experience with large scale LCD inspection or semiconductor capital equipment is preferred
• Experience in developing distributed electrical systems allowing for control and synchronization of
multiple devices located at the point of use
• Proven experience in designing high-speed analog circuits and power modules
• Experience in typical business processes, ECR’s, ECO’s, PLC, design reviews, etc
• Experience with CCD and CMOS camera imaging technology and relevant communication standards
• Knowledge of hardware description languages (VHDL/ Verilog) preferred
• Proficient in typical design software packages, OrCAD, SPICE modeling, PADS, etc
• Effective written and verbal communication, as well as strong presentation skills, are required
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex opto-electromechanical systems
• Familiar with high-speed communication standards such as SPI, GigE, PCIe, USB, etc
• Travel to Asia or North America is required
